Details: 66% of the surveyed stated that Ukraine taking back only the territories under its control before 2022 without Crimea and some areas of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts would be unacceptable.

The scenario in which peace is achieved under the terms of Ukraine retaining only the territory that it controls now is deemed unacceptable by 81% of Ukrainians.

This nationwide research has been developed and carried out by the National Democracy Institute in Ukraine. The fieldwork was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology in the period from 2 to 11 May. 2500 people who live in Ukraine and use mobile phones were interviewed by phone. The territories that weren’t under Ukrainian control before 24 February have been excluded from the research.

The average error for the nationwide sample is not higher than +/- 3%.

The survey was conducted thanks to the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Sweden, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of Great Britain and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada.
