Zelenskyy on Serhiivka missile strike: A deliberate attack on residential building

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine is convinced that Russia deliberately launched an anti-ship missile on the apartment building in Serhiivka, in Odesa Oblast.

Zelenskyy: "Today, the Russian army carried out another ruthless missile strike. A Russian missile – it was, by the way, a hypersonic anti-ship missile – hit an ordinary residential building in Odesa Oblast, in the village of Serhiivka. These X-22 missiles were created to attack aircraft carriers and other large military ships. Meanwhile, the Russian army has deployed it against an ordinary residential building, a nine-storey apartment building, full of ordinary civilians.

This is not a one-off attack and not an accidental hit, as the Russian media would have one believe. It was a deliberate missile strike carried out by Russia, Russian terror inflicted on our cities, our villages, and our people – adults and children alike."

Details: Zelenskyy said that Russia has already deployed nearly 3,000 missiles against Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

"This ruthlessness inherent in Russia’s actions only underscores how justified our partners’ decisions are to continue supporting Ukraine  – first of all, with weapons," President Zelenskyy said.
