Russian launches 3 X-22 missiles on Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, Odesa Oblast

Russian forces have launched three X-22 missiles on the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district in Odesa Oblast from the Black Sea.

Quote from Pivden (South) Operational Command: "As a result of a missile strike on the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district in Odesa Oblast conducted by Tu-22 strategic aircraft from the Black Sea, three X-22 missiles have hit a multi-storey apartment building and two recreation centres."

Details: Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that the Russian missiles hit the village of Serhiivka. One of the outer walls of the nine-storey apartment building was destroyed, as well as the floor slabs from the ground to the eighth floors.

Two floors of a residential building in one of the recreation centres were damaged.

As of 08:30 on 1 July, 18 people are reported dead, including two children.

Medical assistance was given to 31 injured civilians, including four children and a pregnant woman. Eight people, including three children, were rescued from under the rubble. Those with severe injuries were hospitalised.

Rescue operations continue. Investigative groups are also working at the sites of the missile attacks.

Background
