The other 40 vehicles are designed for other purposes, including conducting reconnaissance operations at the battlefield.

In April it was reported that Ukrainian troops had begun training to use the armoured vehicles supplied by the UK. Training took place in the UK.

On 28 June, Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, included the Mastiff armoured vehicles in the list of military equipment and weapons that Ukrainian troops had already mastered.
