Zelenskyy did not specify how many howitzers Ukraine had received.

The Ukrainian President stated that the key issue discussed with Mariusz Błaszczak was  further defence cooperation.

"However, what is important is not just what we talked about, but also how we talked. [We talked] with absolute confidence in Ukraine’s future, in Ukraine’s European future," Zelenskyy noted.

Background: The 155 mm Krab self-propelled artillery system weighs about 48 tonnes and can hit targets at a distance of 40 kilometres, firing up to 6 missiles per minute. The tracked chassis is manufactured under a Korean licence, and the gun is a modification of a British weapon.

It has been reported earlier that during his visit to Kyiv on 12 July, Mariusz Blaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Poland, discussed the possibility of training Ukrainian servicemen on Polish territory.

The total amount of Polish military aid to Ukraine already exceeds 700 million dollars. The military aid package includes Polish Piorun man-portable air defence systems, Krab howitzers and approximately 250 tanks.
