Quote: "The Russians are continuing to steal Ukrainian grain and to do that, they are ‘nationalising’ grain elevators.

The occupiers have set up a ‘State Grain Company’ in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and put 20 grain elevators on its balance sheet. In fact, they stole those elevators because their real owners did not agree to cooperate with them."

Details: As the Centre for National Resistance notes, in most cases the Russians offer farmers two options: either to sell their grain at a fixed price per tonne that is several times lower than the market price, or to put farm assets at the Russians’ disposal.

Using these tactics, the occupiers are exporting up to 100,000 tonnes of grain every month from Zaporizhzhia Oblast alone. Most of the grain goes to Egypt, Turkey and the Middle East.
