Details: On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, restrictions on civilian visits to forests in the areas of the Republic of Belarus near the border with Ukraine continue to apply. There is evidence that operational-tactical UAVs were used to conduct aerial reconnaissance in the parts of Volyn Oblast (Ukraine) near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.

On the Sivershchyna front, Russian occupying forces shelled civilian and military infrastructure in the areas around Znob-Novhorodske, Khrinivka, Senkivka and a number of other villages and towns. The Russians also conducted aerial reconnaissance near Znob-Novhorodske.

On the Kharkiv front, Russian occupying forces used tubed and rocket artillery to fire on the areas around Borshchova, Sosnivka, Petrivka, Rubizhne, Mospanove, Chuhuiv, Svitlychne and Slatyne, and conducted airstrikes near Zalyman, Mospanove and Yavirske. A Russian reconnaissance group attempted to uncover how Ukrainian defences in the area around Chepil are constructed, but the Ukrainian forces repelled this attempt, killing the Russian soldiers.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian occupying forces fired on the areas around Nortsivka, Dolyna, Hrushuvakha, Krasnopillia, Mazanivka, and other villages and towns using tubed and rocket artillery, as well as tanks. They attempted to advance near Bohorodychne, but were unsuccessful and retreated.

On the Kramatorsk front, the Russians opened artillery fire near Raihorodok, Zakitne, Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske, Vyimka, Pereizne and Bilohorivka. Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike near Hryhorivka.

In addition, Russian occupying forces made a failed attempt to scout the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area around Verkhnokamianske.

Likewise, the Russians’ attempt to improve their tactical positions in the area around Ivano-Darivka has similarly failed: the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled the Russian troops and forced them to retreat.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian occupying forces shelled military and civilian infrastructure in the areas around Berestove, Soledar, Pokrovske, Vesela Dolyna, Vershyna, Kodema, Maiorsk and Toretsk. They conducted ruthless airstrikes on the towns of Pokrovske and Novoluhanske.

Ukrainian defence forces successfully repelled the Russians’ attempts to conduct assault operations in the areas around Berestove, Soledar and Semyhiria. Fighting between the Ukrainian troops and a Russian assault group is continuing in the vicinity of Pokrovske.

Russian forces did not undertake active combat operations on the Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, though they systematically fired on civilian and military infrastructure in the areas around Vesele, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka, Shevchenko, Velyka Novosilka, Novopil, Malynivka, Novoselivka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky and a number of other towns and villages.

Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike near Malynivka. In addition, Russian forces carried out assault operations in the areas around the villages of Pavlivka and Blahodatne, but were repelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and retreated with losses.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian occupying forces continued to focus their main efforts on maintaining their previously occupied positions and trying to prevent the Ukrainian forces from advancing in this area. They carried out aerial reconnaissance using UAVs, and fired on Ukrainian positions along the frontline.

The General Staff has noted that Russian occupying forces have recurrent issues with replenishing the ranks of their troops. To address this problem, Russia is trying to recruit mercenaries from among citizens of Central Asian countries, residents of remote Russian regions, and criminals serving their sentences.
