Russians have strengthened the security of the Crimean Bridge – mass media

The Russian occupiers have strengthened their missile and air defences and the security of the Crimean Bridge to repel a possible attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, in the area of the Crimean Bridge, "a multi-tiered, layered defence has been created, which has several sectors and areas of responsibility": "the forces of the Southern Military District and the Black Sea Fleet are involved, and the Coast Guard – marine units of the border troops, and the Rosgvardiya have boats on duty and so on."
Background:
- On 16 June, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Kremlin, declared that the security of the "Crimean Bridge", which connects the Russian-occupied peninsula with Russia’s Krasnodar Territory, is guaranteed by the military.
- On 20 June, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the "Boiko towers" – drilling rigs belonging to the Russian-appropriated Chornomornaftogaz [an oil and gas company located in Simferopol, Crimea, that was "nationalised" by the Crimean authorities after the annexation of the peninsula].
- On 1 July, the invaders were training to defend the "Crimean Bridge", which connects the Ukrainian peninsula with Russia’s Krasnodar Territory: the structure was covered with clouds of smoke and a traffic accident occurred on the bridge.
