Russians torture staff of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant before IAEA delegation arrival – Energoatom

ROMAN PETRENKO – SATURDAY, 27 AUGUST 2022, 11:07

The Russian special services are torturing the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) staff to keep them from telling the IAEA [International Atomic Energy Association] inspectors about security risks at the station.

Details: The ZNPP staff told the outlet about the torture. They revealed that at the moment, the atmosphere of terror reigns at the station.

The Russian occupiers are arresting the Ukrainian staff and sending them "to the basement". It is reported that "people who return from the cellar after such "conversations" don’t say a word at all".

Energoatom believes that the Russian occupiers are preparing various provocations on the eve of the IAEA mission arrival.

In particular, the occupiers are planning to minimise the Ukrainian staff presence at the power plant and to put in every room of the control centre "a few Russian representatives who will loudly scream that they have been waiting for ‘liberation’ from the Kyiv regime".

Background: The IAEA visit to the ZNPP is planned for next week. At the moment, the occupiers are artificially creating all conditions to prevent the IAEA from arriving at the power plant.
