Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian offensives on 5 fronts – General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian offensive operations on the Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts.

Details: Russia continues to maintain several units of its Western Military District forces on the Sivershchyna front, in parts of the Bryansk and Kursk oblasts (Russia) that are adjacent to the Russian-Ukrainian border. In order to pin down Ukrainian forces in the area, Russian troops fired on areas in and around Hremiach in Chernihiv Oblast and Nova Sloboda, Novovasylivka, Iskryskivshchyna and Turia in Sumy Oblast. They also deployed UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance of areas near the Ukrainian border.

On the Kharkiv front, Russians used tank guns, as well as tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around the following cities and villages: Kharkiv, Prudianka, Protopopivka, Pryshyb, Chepil, Zamulivka, Ruski Tyshky, Bairak, Petrivka, Mospanove and Velyki Prokhody. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Rubizhne. The Russians are also continuing their extensive use of UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance.

Russian units attempted to improve their tactical positions near Svitlychne, but failed and retreated.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian forces fired on areas in the vicinity of Dovhenke, Dolyna, Dibrivne, Velyka Komyshuvakha and Karnaukhivka.

They undertook offensive and assault operations in an attempt to make gains in the vicinity of Bohorodychne, but suffered losses and were pushed back.

Russian forces continued to fire on areas in the vicinity of Sloviansk, Verkhnokamianske and Spirne on the Kramatorsk front, where they also delivered airstrikes near Hryhorivka.

On the Bakhmut front, Russians troops fired on civilian infrastructure in and around Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Soledar, Maiorsk and Rozdolivka. Russian aircraft struck areas in and around Kodema and Yakovlivka. The Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled an offensive launched by the Russian occupying forces near Vesela Dolyna.

On the Avdiivka front, Russian troops used tank guns and tuned and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Nevelske, Opytne, Orlivka, Novooleksandrivka, Niu-York, Krasnohorivka and Pervomaiske. They attempted to advance on Pervomaiske but suffered losses and were forced to retreat.

On the Novopavlivka front, Russian forces continued to fire on areas near Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenivka, Velyka Novosilka and Novomykhailivka. They made an unsuccessful attempt to improve their tactical position near Pavlivka.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russians fired on areas in and around Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Kamianske, Burlatske, Vremivka and Chervone, using tank guns, as well as tubed and rocket artillery. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Poltavka. 

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian troops used all weapons at their disposal to fire on areas in and around Mykolaiv, Lupareve, Stepova Dolyna, Posad-Pokrovske, Shyroke, Partyzanske, Kyselivka, Velyke Artakove, Andriivka, Olhyne, Kniazivka, Topolyne, Myrne, Kvitneve, Veselyi Kut and Lozove. Russian aircraft carried out airstrikes on areas near Andriivka and Oleksandrivka. In addition, Russian forces are ramping up their use of UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance in these areas.

"Our rocket artillery units are continuing to strike the areas where military personnel and equipment of Russian occupiers are concentrated. The enemy has suffered significant losses of manpower on several fronts," the General Staff reported.
