Russian occupiers left without any large bridges in Kherson Oblast due to HIMARS attacks

STANISLAV POHORILOV — MONDAY, 29 AUGUST 2022, 12:49 p.m.

There are virtually no large bridges left in Kherson Oblast for Russians to use. The bridges have been destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanks to the effective use of HIMARS missile systems; only pedestrian crossings remain.

Quote: "The situation in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast is extremely difficult. The 'large and terrible' HIMARS destroyed almost all the large bridges (Antonivka Road Bridge, Antonivka Railway Bridge and Kakhovka Bridge)."

Details: Only pedestrian crossings reportedly remain intact for now. Thus, Russian forces have been cut off from supplies of weapons and reinforcements from Crimea.

Background: Satellite images from 27 August show that Russian forces are building an amphibious pontoon bridge in the city of Kherson close to the Antonivka Road Bridge, which was earlier damaged by Ukrainian strikes.
