OLENA ROSHCHINA – TUESDAY, 30 AUGUST, 2022, 23:01

In the evening of 30 August, explosions rang out in Kherson and Beryslav of the Kherson region. The Ukrainian defenders once again might have targeted the Antonivka bridge.

Details: Heavy explosions were heard in Kherson, Suspilne correspondents reported in the evening.

Photos of explosions near the Antonivka Bridge and Colony #90 in Kherson, as well as near the Beryslav Military Commissariat, appeared in local social media.

Volodymyr Litvinov, the head of the Beryslav military administration, said in a comment to Suspilne that the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit near the city council in Beryslav.

"There are garages a little lower, and this is the territory of the city council. The Military Commissariat is even lower. I have no contact with Beryslav, but I can see from the photos that the territory of the garages, which is located on the territory of the city council, is on fire," he said.

Litvinov added that no one saw what was on that territory - it was covered with a net: "Maybe there was some equipment, maybe warehouses. The administrative building itself is intact. Only the roof is damaged in places."

The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not comment about the explosions; the regime of silence is maintained.

At the same time, local politician Serhii Khlan said that "all day long, ‘orcs’ [Russian soldiers] are getting ‘incomings’ - at repair bases, warehouses, concentrations of troops, at the places where their officers are staying."

"Ammunition is being detonated in Tavriisk, there are ‘incomings’ over the Antonivka Bridge to once again confirm its non-functional status, Beryslav, Nova Kakhovka, Oleshky, Nova Zbur‘ivka," he wrote on Facebook.

Khlan added that the new "incoming" on the Antonivka bridge near Kherson could be the "final chord".
