Russian soldiers undergoing treatment don’t get sick pay – General Staff

Commanders of a Russian motorised rifle brigade issued an order that cuts sick pay for soldiers who are undergoing medical treatment.

Details: The General Staff reports that the commanders of the 2nd Motorised Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces, in an effort to improve the brigade’s combat-readiness, have issued an order cut pay for soldiers who are temporarily absent, for example, due to undergoing medical treatment.

Pay is restored only if the soldiers in question submit supporting documents and receive a personal permission from their commander.
