Russians launch 9 missiles strikes on Mykolaiv overnight

UKRAINSKA PRAVDA – THURSDAY, 22 SEPTEMBER 2022, 09:14

Russian forces carried out missile strikes on the city of Mykolaiv on the night of 21–22 September, damaging residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.

Quote from Kim: "Mykolaiv suffered an extensive missile attack at around 00:15. Preliminary reports indicate that [the Russians] used S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. Multi-storey buildings were damaged, windows were shattered, gas and water pipelines, a yard in front of cinema and theatre buildings, and [several] administrative buildings have been damaged as a result [of the attack]."

Details: A storage depot caught fire at around 01:21 following the Russian strike. Kim said that there were no casualties.

The mayor of Mykolaiv has confirmed that several neighbourhoods of Mykolaiv came under Russian attack and that infrastructure and residential buildings sustained damage.

Updated at 10:07 [22 September]: Kim added that nine rockets struck the city, damaging water and gas supply systems: "Nine S-300 rockets were fired on the centre of Mykolayiv today, two of them did not explode. We are now examining [the consequences]. Rockets damaged some water and gas [systems], but now everything will be repaired. There are no casualties."
