Rockets hit energy infrastructure facility in Zhytomyr, 2 people wounded

Russian troops carried out a rocket strike on Zhytomyr Oblast on the morning of 18 October, hitting an energy facility.

Quote from Tymoshenko: "Preliminary information indicates that there were two strikes on an energy infrastructure facility. The State Emergency Service is working [at the scene]."

Details: The rocket attack occurred around 08:45.

The Mayor of Zhytomyr confirmed the hit and said that the city had been left without electricity or water.

Hospitals were switched to backup power.

Update: Sukhomlyn later reported two wounded as a result of three strikes in Zhytomyr.

As of 10:40, the power supply to Zhytomyr hospitals has been restored. Electricity is gradually returning to different areas of the city.

Water can still be supplied only to ground floors, as well as to hydrants and wells.

Electric transport will not operate on Tuesday.
