Quote: "The Russian terrorists once again attacked our energy infrastructure last night. Equipment in Ukraine’s central oblasts has been damaged.

In order to prevent a power outage in central Ukraine, energy service workers have to introduce strict restrictions. Power use restrictions in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr oblasts will depend on the ongoing state of the energy system."

Details: Tymoshenko said that the Office of the President of Ukraine is working with the representatives of Oblast Military Administrations throughout Ukraine, with Kyiv officials, Ukrenergo (electricity transmission system operator in Ukraine), the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and DTEK (the largest private investor in the energy industry in Ukraine) to resolve the issue.

The State Emergency Service reported that attacks on infrastructure facilities in Kyiv Oblast involved the use of Shahed drones. 8 units of equipment and 48 employees of the State Emergency Service were involved in extinguishing the fire.

There are no casualties.

Oleksii Kuleba, the Head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, said that during the night, the Russian forces had seriously damaged energy infrastructure facilities in the region and disabled a number of critical facilities.

According to him, the time frame for the disconnection from the network might be indefinite, although experts are working to restore the system.

The press service of Yasno, an energy supplier from the DTEK group, reported that due to the "serious damage" to energy infrastructure there might be a 30% deficit in power supply in Ukraine’s capital, and "power might be cut off in almost half of Kyiv".

Previously: Russia carried out several attacks on Kyiv Oblast on the night of 26–27 October, causing a fire. Ukraine’s air defence forces struck down several Russian air targets.
