Russians fire 3 missiles at college in Mykolaiv at night, one person killed

The Russian invaders attacked Mykolaiv with S-300 missiles at night; residential buildings and an educational institution were destroyed. One killed person and five wounded people were reported.

Details: Oleksandr Sienkevich reported that Mykolaiv was shelled around midnight with S-300 missiles.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported that one missile hit and damaged the building of the Mykola Arkas First Ukrainian Gymnasium. No casualties were reported.

The other three missiles hit the territory of the Mykolaiv Polytechnic Vocational College. The shelling partially destroyed the four-storey college building. Nearby private sector and apartment buildings were damaged. Fires broke out in the warehouse of the college and in a five-storey residential building nearby.

Rescue workers pulled two people out from under the rubble. A killed woman and five injured people were reported. Medical assistance was provided to 12 people who were trapped in their apartments as a result of the explosion. The search and rescue operations are completed.

 

The mayor of Mykolaiv added that a two-storey residential building was completely destroyed. A fire broke out in another house due to the hit of shells and their fragments.

 

According to Oleksandr Sienkevich, windows and doors were blown out in several private houses, and roofs were damaged. In the medical institution, the blast wave and debris knocked out the oriented strand boards, used by the construction crews to repair the windows after the previous shelling.
