Number of Russian troops in Luhansk rises – General Staff report

The number of units of Russian occupation forces in the Russian-held city of Luhansk has increased. They are forcing civilians in Luhansk Oblast out of their homes.

Enemy personnel are housed in abandoned homes in the villages of Krasne and Simeikine in Luhansk Oblast; they are forcing local civilian residents to relocate to other settlements."

Details: Over the course of Saturday, 19 November, Russian forces carried out gwo missile strikes and 12 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS).

Civilian infrastructure facilities in the city of Sviatohirsk (Donetsk Oblast) were damaged in a Russian rocket attack.

Russian forces also fired on military and civilian targets on the following fronts:

  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: Russian forces deployed mortars and tubed artillery to fire on areas in and around Strilecha, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Okhrimivka, Zarubynka, Chuhunivka and Ambarne (Kharkiv Oblast);
  • On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Novomlynsk, Orlianka, Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne and Tabaivka (Kharkiv Oblast); Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka and Nevske (Luhansk Oblast) and Torske, Andriivka and Berestove (Donetsk Oblast);
  • On the Bakhmut front: the Russians deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Spirne, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka and New-York (Donetsk Oblast);
  • On the Avdiivka front: the Russians used tank guns and various types of artillery to fire on areas in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast);
  • On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: the Russians fired on areas in and around Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar, Vremivka (Donetsk Oblast) and Olhivske, Poltavka, Dorozhnianka, Zaliznychne and Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) using tank guns and all types of artillery at their disposal;
  • On the Kryvyi Rih and Kherson front: Russian forces deployed tanks and tubed and rocket artillery to fire in the vicinity of Chervonyi Maiak, Kachkarivka, Tokarivka, Chornobaivka and Kherson (Kherson Oblast).

According to the available information, units of the 2nd Motorised Rifle Division of the 1st Tank Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation completed military exercises in Breast Oblast in the Republic of Belarus.

Military personnel conscripted during Russia’s so-called partial mobilisation have low morale, caused partly by being poorly equipped. Some of the conscripts were handed out old uniforms and second-hand equipment. Their military equipment is for the most part in poor condition and requires constant maintenance and repairs.

Russia continues to suffer losses. The General Staff has confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a cluster of Russian military personnel in Mykhailivka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) on 17 November, killing and injuring over 30 Russian soldiers.

Nearly 60 Russian military personnel were killed in an attack by Ukraine’s defence forces on a cluster of Russian forces near Mykhailivka in the Skadovsk district of Kherson Oblast.

Over the course of Saturday, 19 November, Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck a Russian ammunition storage point.
