We need to create accelerated process for Ukraine to join EU – Polish PM

Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland, has stated that the European Union has to create an accelerated process for Ukraine to join the EU.

Quote: "We cannot compare what is happening in Ukraine with 'a normal or almost normal accession process'. We need to think outside the box. We are living in a turning point in history, we have to change almost everything in Europe. And that is why we need to create a new process for Ukraine. The accelerated process is synonymous with this."

Background: Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Poland is considering handing over its MiG-29s to Ukraine and joining the coalition to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighters, if such a coalition were formed.
