Details: The NRC reported that the occupiers go to people’s homes and demand to be given property ownership documentation and other documents in accordance with Russian legislation regulations, but this is possible only if they have Russian citizenship.

The NRC noted that at the same time, Russians are seizing Ukrainian documents. A Ukrainian passport is also required to be surrendered when applying for Russian citizenship.

Passports are also taken from those who have been sent to torture chambers and are not returned after release.

"It is also worth emphasising that the Russians use the passports that were later selected for their sabotage and reconnaissance groups and in other special operations against Ukraine," the National Resistance Center said.
