On Thursday, 9 February, the 27 leaders of the EU member states will gather at the summit in Brussels to discuss Ukraine, migration and the alliance’s reaction to the law on decreasing the inflation in the USA. Personal participation of the Ukrainian President in the summit would make it possible for him to meet all the EU leaders.

Earlier on Monday, the Financial Times media outlet reported about the EU's plans for Volodymyr Zelenskyy to partake in the EU leaders Summit this week. The outlet’s sources stressed that security issues may hinder the Ukrainian President’s visit.

Last week, Zelenskyy confirmed that he may come to Brussels with a personal visit to express his gratitude for the support of Ukraine, if there is a chance to receive long-range weapons, and if the security situation allows it.
