Russians cannot break through Ukraine's defence on Kupiansk and Lyman fronts – General Staff report

The Russian military is unsuccessfully trying to break through the defences of Ukrainian fighters on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts; positional battles are ongoing in Bakhmut.

Details: The Ukrainian Air Force carried out six strikes on clusters of Russian manpower and military equipment.

During the day, Russian forces carried out 19 airstrikes, as well as deployed multiple-launch rocket systems to strike 26 times.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts.

During the day, Russian forces shelled the areas of Starykove, Volfyne and Solianyky in Sumy Oblast, as well as Strilecha, Hlyboke, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne and Ternova in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, Russian forces unsuccessfully tried to break through the defence of Ukrainian troops. A number of settlements along the contact line were attacked using artillery, namely Vesele, Hrianykivka, Vilshana, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Dibrova and Andriivka in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoiehorivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast. The occupiers unsuccessfully tried to advance near Hrianykivka, Verkhnokamianske and Spirne.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces continue to storm the city of Bakhmut where positional battles are constantly ongoing. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Klishchiivka and Ivanivske. Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Zaliznianske, Vasiukivka, Bakhmut, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka and Oleksandro-Shultyne in Donetsk Oblast came under Russian fire.

On the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk fronts, Russian forces carried out unsuccessful offensive operations near Kamianka, Nevelske, Avdiivka and Marinka in Donetsk Oblast. They shelled areas in and around settlements of Kamianka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Marinka, Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, Russian forces are on the defensive. They attacked the settlements of Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Vremivka in Donetsk Oblast; Dobra Nadiia in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as well as Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Vesele, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Dniprovske, Kherson, Berehove Veletenske and Kizomys in Kherson Oblast.

In the city of Svatove, Luhansk Oblast, in one of the buildings located in the eastern part of the city, there is a new hospital for the occupiers. Currently, there are about 30 seriously wounded Russian soldiers who were brought there in the last two days. In general, there is an increase in the number of seriously wounded Russian soldiers, and evacuation flights to the territory of the Russian Federation have increased from two to three per week. Local residents who have at least some medical education are involved in the care of the wounded.

Russian forces continue to carry out engineering equipment in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk oblasts. Also, Russian Armed Forces are holding groups of troops on the territory of Belgorod Oblast to conduct demonstration actions and prevent our units from being sent to other fronts.
