Russians struck school in Donetsk Oblast, killing two people and wounding six

On 30 June, Russian troops hit the village of Serhiivka, Pokrovske district, Donetsk Oblast; two people were killed, six more were wounded, and the school was destroyed.

Details: According to the investigation, on 30 June at about 11:20, the occupying forces of the Russian Federation targeted the village of Serhiivka, Pokrovske district, most likely from a multiple-launch missile system; the territory of a local school was hit.

There were 12 people in it at the time of the shelling: representatives of the administration, teachers and technical staff.

The shelling killed a primary school teacher and the chief accountant.

Six other employees were injured: four men and two women. All of them were hospitalised with mine-blast injuries and shrapnel wounds.

Part of the school building is almost destroyed: classrooms and other premises are damaged, and furniture and school equipment are broken.

 
 

Prosecutors, law enforcement officers and rescue workers continue to operate at the site of the attack.

 

Under the procedural leadership of the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of laws and customs of war (Art. 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
