In order to stop the offensive actions of the Ukrainian troops on the Bakhmut front, Russia is actively transferring additional forces and means, the basis of which are parts of the airborne troops, to this front.

The Russians went on the offensive on the Kupiansk front, setting the goal of defeating the Defence Forces near Kupiansk and continuing the offensive into the depths of the Ukrainian battle formations.

Quote: "In such difficult conditions, I visited the combat brigades of our group and met with unit commanders to adjust our plans and solve problematic issues on the spot...

Separately, I worked with the commanders and made all the necessary decisions to stabilise the situation on the Lyman front.

All commanders understand the importance of the assigned tasks regarding the destruction of the enemy, the continuation of offensive actions and the retention of the operational initiative on our side. We continue to move forward, liberating our land step by step."

Previously: The head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, noted that Russians are building up their capacity and "trying to move on from just deploying reconnaissance and sabotage groups, to attempting large-scale assaults".

The Ukrainian forces respond appropriately and repel them, so the Russian army cannot advance, Syniehubov said.

However, due to the danger, authorities will be evacuating children from nine settlements in the Vovchansk territorial hromada [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.] in Kharkiv Oblast on a compulsory basis.
