On the instructions of the Russian secret service, she covertly tracked the locations and movements of Ukrainian Armed Forces units on the northern borders of Ukraine.

First of all, the woman tried to record the exact time and directions of flights of Ukrainian combat aircraft involved in supporting the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front.

She also wanted to establish and pass on to the Russians the locations of air defence units and fortifications of Ukrainian defenders in Chernihiv Oblast.

As per the available information, the Russians planned to use this information to prepare air attacks on the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Security Service of Ukraine officers detained the suspect while she was trying to transfer the data.

Based on the collected evidence, she was served with a notice of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law.

The woman is currently in custody and has fully pleaded guilty.

The offender faces life imprisonment.
