Ukrainian defenders successfully repel Russian attacks near Bakhmut and Avdiivka having 20 clashes in one day

During the day, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled the attacks of the Russian occupiers on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts. In addition, Ukrainian aircraft conducted eight strikes on the areas where Russian military manpower and equipment were concentrated.

Details: It is reported that about 20 combat engagements took place during the day. Ukrainian aircraft conducted eight strikes on the areas where Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment were concentrated over the day.

Units of Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck a cluster of Russian military manpower, weapons and equipment, seven artillery systems at firing positions, two electronic warfare stations and two anti-aircraft missile systems.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, the Russians maintain their military presence. They inflicted an air strike in the area of Veterynarne, Kharkiv Oblast. Over 20 settlements were bombarded from mortars and artillery, in particular: Semenivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Vilna Sloboda, Svarkove, Stepne, Basivka, Mohrytsia, Pokrovka and Oleksandrivka in Sumy Oblast, as well as Huriv Kozachok, Hraniv, Vovchansk, Bochkove and Budarky in Kharkiv Oblast. 

On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian defenders are courageously holding the line. They carried out an airstrike near Novoselivske in Luhansk Oblast. The settlements of Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast came under Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Lyman front, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations south of Dibrova in Luhansk Oblast. They launched an air strike in the area of Spirne in Donetsk Oblast. The settlements of Nevske in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast were shelled.

On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled Russian attacks in areas east of Stupochky and near Dyliivka in Donetsk Oblast. The Russians inflicted air strikes in the areas of Klishchiivka and Dyliivka, Donetsk Oblast. More than 10 settlements were affected by artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka front, while under heavy fire of Russian aircraft and artillery, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled the attacks of Russian troops in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Donetsk Oblast. The Russians shelled more than 10 settlements, in particular Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Lastochkyne, Vodiane and Karlivka in Donetsk Oblast. 

On the Marinka front, the Ukrainian forces continue to restrain the offensive of Russian troops in the area of Marinka, Donetsk Oblast. The Russians fired at Krasnohorivka, Maksymilianivka and Heorhiivka, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the Russians launched an airstrike near Makarivka. They carried out shelling of more than 10 settlements, in particular, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the Russians focused their main efforts on preventing further advancement of Ukrainian troops. They carried out airstrikes near Levadne and Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. They shelled over 20 settlements, including Novoandriivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Stepove, Lobkove and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as Dudchany, Beryslav, Kozatske, Molodizhne, Antonivka, Komyshany, Kizomys and Stanislav in Kherson Oblast.

At the same time, the Ukrainian defence forces continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts, consolidating their positions.
