Details: The Ministry for Reintegration noted that there is a volunteer humanitarian centre on the Ukrainian border, where all Ukrainians can receive free psychological, legal and humanitarian assistance, spend the night and get to Sumy or other Ukrainian cities.

People wishing to evacuate from Sumy Oblast can also use the Sumy-Kyiv special evacuation train.

Ukrposhta (Ukrainian Postal Service) offers financial assistance for every citizen in the form of 3,000 hryvnias [about $81 – ed.] for children and persons with disabilities and 2,000 hryvnias [about $54 – ed.] for all other persons arriving at the station.

At the same time, the State Border Guard Service clarified for Ukrainska Pravda that all checkpoints on the border with the aggressor state remain closed. Nonetheless, Ukrainian border guards have been facilitating the return of Ukrainian citizens since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine.

Andrii Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, said that the service recorded that the adjacent side allows Ukrainian citizens to pass to Ukraine at the Pokrovka checkpoint in Sumy Oblast. People could pass through the state border both on foot and in vehicles there.

In July, it was recorded that the Russian Federation restricted the ability of Ukrainian citizens to cross the border on vehicles, and at the end of July, it completely closed the possibility of crossing the border in this direction.

Quote from Demchenko: "However, a few days ago, we again began to see that Russia allows people to pass in the direction of Ukraine, and accordingly, we continue to ensure the return of Ukrainian citizens to their homeland.
