We are ready for offensive, its time and format are being discussed – Israeli General Staff chief
Herzi Halevi, Chief of Staff of the Israel Defence Forces, said that Hamas already "regrets" starting war against Israel, and acknowledged that the ground offensive is postponed for "strategic considerations."

The IDF is ready for the [ground] manoeuvre, and we will make a decision with the political echelon regarding the shape and timing of the next stage," Halevi said.
Details: He added that there were "tactical and even strategic considerations" that delayed the ground offensive, but they allowed the IDF to carry out more significant preparations.
"We are making use of every minute to be even more prepared... Killing terrorists, destroying infrastructure, collecting more intelligence for the next stage," he added.
