Air Force on aftermath of MiG take-offs: Kinzhal strike in Khmelnytskyi Oblast

A Kinzhal missile struck Khmelnytskyi Oblast during the second air-raid warning of 14 December due to the take-off of Russian MiG fighter jets, and during the third air-raid warning several more air targets were recorded; their fate is being established.

Details: Ihnat said that during the air-raid warning issued at 15:35, several air targets were spotted moving through Kyiv to the western part of Ukraine (Volyn and Rivne oblasts).

According to preliminary information, air defence systems were operating in Kyiv Oblast.

According to Ihnat, information on what exactly happened to these air targets, whether they landed or were shot down, is being established.

Background: During the day on 14 December, air-raid warnings were issued three times across Ukraine due to the take-off of Russian Mig-31K fighter jets. During the second and third air-raid warning, the Air Force reported the launch of missiles.

During the last air-raid warning, residents of Kyiv and the oblast could hear air defence responding.
