Quote from Syrskyi: "The enemy's offensive continues on the Kupiansk, Lyman and Bakhmut fronts.

The Bakhmut front remains extremely important for the Russian invaders. They are concentrating their main efforts there and are using the most combat-ready airborne troops, marines and Storm Z and Storm V units made up of former criminals to conduct assault operations.

The enemy's goal on this front is clear – an attack on Chasiv Yar, then on Kostiantynivka, Druzhkivka, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk followed by an advance to reach the borders of Donetsk Oblast."

Details: Syrskyi said that on the Lyman front, Russian occupation forces had started constant attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions near Makiivka and Terny. Combat actions are ongoing near Siversk.

"The occupiers are actively using equipment during the assault operations, which is constantly being destroyed by Ukrainian defenders," noted Syrskyi.

At the same time, "daily assault actions by Russian troops in the area of Synkivka to capture it and create a foothold for further attack on the city of Kupiansk are unceasing," he added.

Quote from Syrskyi: "The situation is difficult. We have to fight in the face of enemy superiority in both weapons and personnel.

However, commanders and staff monitor changes in the situation 24/7, analyse the actions of the enemy and their troops, and make effective management decisions to strengthen defence and destroy the enemy.

My commanders and I have made a number of decisions on how to destroy the enemy directly in the combat areas."

Details: Syrskyi said that on all three fronts, Ukrainian troops are holding the defence and killing the Russians, so the Russians suffer heavy losses, which are replenished by the reserves of assault battalions made up of former convicts.

Despite daily losses in personnel and equipment, the Russian occupiers continued to conduct offensive operations.

Quote: "During the first half of December, the enemy lost about 8,000 servicemen in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group. In addition, more than 500 pieces of enemy military equipment were destroyed or damaged. This includes 67 tanks, over a 100 armoured combat vehicles, 77 grenade launchers and mortars of various calibres.

Unlike the aggressor, the Ukrainian defence forces are trying to achieve success through thoughtful planning of combat operations and the effective use of artillery, mortars, attack drones and small arms. And the lives of our soldiers are our greatest value. Minimising losses is always a priority when planning operations."
