"They're downing everything": Ukraine's Air Force Commander releases video of air defence at work

On the evening of 5 December, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Ukraine's Air Force Commander, posted footage of the air defence forces effectively downing Russian Shahed drones in the country's south.

Details: Oleshchuk said the video is of Shahed-type attack UAVs being destroyed in the country’s south, where anti-aircraft operations continue.

Background: On the evening of 5 December, the Russian forces launched another wave of kamikaze drones to attack Ukraine. An air-raid warning was issued in many oblasts of the country.
