The Russian occupying authorities in Crimea have announced that part of the peninsula has been left without electricity due to an accident at the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant (TPP).

Quote from Aksyonov: "As a result of an emergency shutdown of equipment at the Balaklava thermal power plant, part of the Republic of Crimea has been left without power."

Details: Aksyonov claimed that work to restore the electricity supply is already underway.

Razvozhayev clarified that at 17:05 Kyiv time, "some gas equipment malfunctioned at the Balaklava TPP", and this apparently caused two power units to shut down.
