Russians attack Sumy Oblast, using air-dropped mines and ammunition from drones

Russians have fired on the border areas and settlements of Sumy Oblast 40 times over the past day, dropping explosives from drones including air-dropped mines.

Details: A total of 186 explosions were recorded. The Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda and Svesa hromadas were attacked. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.]

An FPV drone (accounting for three of the explosions) hit Bilopillia hromada. An additional 12 explosions from mortars and 24 from artillery strikes were reported.

Velyka Pysarivka hromada: Russian attacks resulted in 28 artillery explosions, nine mortar explosions, and 39 explosions from SPG and AGS grenade launchers. In addition, VOG high-explosive fragmentation grenades were dropped using UAVs (four explosions) and FPV drone hits were recorded (two explosions).

Six explosions from VOGs dropped using UAVs and four explosions from mortar strikes were recorded in Krasnopillia hromada.

The Russians released nine air-dropped mines on the territory of Esman hromada. Fire from small arms was also recorded.

The Russians hit Khotin hromada with 25 mortars.

The Russians struck Svesa hromada twice with mortars and three times with artillery.

The Russians shelled Yunakivka hromada eight times with artillery.

Mortar fire resulting in eight explosions was conducted in Seredyna-Buda hromada.
