The Freedom of Russia Legion, consisting of Russian volunteer soldiers fighting on the side of Ukraine, has posted a video featuring burning buildings and reported that they have destroyed two Russian army ammunition storage points in the village of Tyotkino, in Russia's Kursk Oblast. At the same time, the governor of Kursk Oblast said that "Ukrainian terrorists" were supposedly breaking into the oblast, while the Russian Guard claimed that it was "repelling an attack by Ukrainian saboteurs".

Starovoit said that Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were supposedly trying to enter Kursk Oblast near Tyotkino.

Quote from Starovoit: "Ukrainian terrorists keep trying to enter our territory with their sabotage and reconnaissance groups near the village of Tyotkino."

More details: He also stated that there is a danger of a UAV attack and that air defence assets and personnel are "ready to repel a possible attack".

At the same time, the Russian Guard has claimed that it was supposedly repelling an attack by "Ukrainian saboteurs" near the village of Tyotkino and that they had supposedly 'killed 30 nationalists' in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast the day before. However, no evidence of this was provided.

Nevertheless, the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Sibir (Siberian) Battalion have posted a joint appeal to the governors of Kursk and Belgorod oblasts, in which they again called for the immediate evacuation of civilians from these oblasts.

"The liberation of Russian regions from Putin's terrorist regime is underway at this very moment. Putin's troops in Belgorod and Kursk oblasts are under large-scale attacks.

We call on the authorised representatives of these oblasts [...] to immediately announce the evacuation [...] of civilians.

Civilians should not suffer from the war, and any casualties in the course of hostilities will be on the conscience of [governors] Starovoit and Gladkov," the statement reads.

They also call on the authorities "to stop carrying out the criminal orders of the Putin junta and not to impede the evacuation of the civilians who have decided to leave their homes and save the lives of their families."

"The operation to liberate Kursk and Belgorod oblasts will continue until we achieve all our goals. Victory will be ours!" they stated.

Videos showing small groups of people who decided to heed the warning and leave the dangerous areas have been posted on social media.
