Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy convened a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff on 18 March to discuss the frontline situation, weapons and fortifications construction.

Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, presented a report on the main areas of active operations. Reports on expenditures, ammunition supply and intelligence data have been submitted.

We also reviewed the implementation status of existing contracts and those for future periods on procuring and producing equipment, weapons, and shells."

Details: In addition, the president said he had heard reports on implementing the previous decisions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, particularly those related to protecting critical infrastructure: energy, water and gas supply.

The meeting heard reports from Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, Oleksii Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz, a Ukrainian fuel and energy company, and Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, CEO of Ukrenergo, a Ukrainian national energy company.

The gathering also discussed further construction of defensive lines. Shmyhal and Bohdan Bondar, Head of Ukraine's Special Transport Service at the Ministry of Defence, presented the relevant reports. Zelenskyy added that work on this issue was ongoing.
