Details: On the morning of 9 March, the Russian forces fired on the village of  Ocheretyne in the Pokrovsk district. A hostile rocket exploded near the house, causing a 63-year-old man to sustain shrapnel wounds.  At the time of the explosion, the local was standing on his porch.

Soon after that, the Russian invaders shelled the town of Chasiv Yar in the Bakhmut district. A 46-year-old man sustained multiple shrapnel wounds while being outside. The eyewitnesses tried to provide him with first aid, but they failed to save the wounded man.

At 15:30, the village of Yelyzavetivka of Marinka  hromada came under fire. (A hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.). A 68-year-old woman was wounded and taken to hospital with a shrapnel wound to the chest.

At the same time, the Russian forces attacked the village of Arkhanhelske in Ocheretyne hromada. A man, 57, was injured near a body of water. The Russian invaders attacked these settlements with artillery.

At 17:20, the Russians attacked the town of Ukrainske in Selydove hromada, likely using an Uragan multiple-launch rocket system. A 29-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a mine-blast injury and an open fracture of her tibia. Three high-rise buildings and three private houses were damaged.
