Quote from Zelenskyy: "I shared our plans with Emmanuel – the Victory Plan and others – and briefed him on the situation on the battlefield. We will need your support ahead of the winter. We are grateful for everything you are doing for us."
Details: Zelenskyy went on to say that he had raised the issue of ammunition supplies and the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine’s use of Western long-range weapons, as Ukraine cannot fully cover its needs with domestically-produced drones.
"What we have now is not enough. We are seeking funding for this need – for domestic production – and we are also waiting for permission from our partners," Zelenskyy said.
Macron, for his part, elaborated that Zelenskyy had disclosed details of the Victory Plan to him. "This was an important step for us, an opportunity to discuss the coming weeks and months, both military and diplomatic work," he said.
In response to further questions, Macron said France’s level of support with regard to both weapons supplies and training for Ukrainian soldiers remains the same as in previous months.
