Ukrainian air defences responding in Kyiv Oblast while bombers take off in Russia

Russian drones have been spotted in Kyiv Oblast, and air defence is responding to them. The Air Force also reported the take-off of Tu-22M3 bombers in Russia.

Details: The authorities urged residents to stay in shelters and not to take photos or film the work of Ukrainian defenders.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force reported at 11:45 that Tu-22M3 long-range bombers were in the air and urged people not to ignore air-raid warnings.

Air-raid warnings are currently in force in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kharkiv and Luhansk oblasts.

Updated: At 12:26, the Air Force reported that the Tu-22M3 bombers had landed.
