Putin calls killing of Khamenei a "cynical violation of human morality and international law"

Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has expressed condolences to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian over the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei following US and Israeli missile strikes on 28 February.

Details: Putin conveyed sympathy and support to "the relatives, the government and the entire people of Iran".
Quote: "Please accept my deep condolences in connection with the killing of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and members of his family, carried out in a cynical violation of all norms of human morality and international law.
In our country, Ayatollah Khamenei will be remembered as an outstanding statesman who made an enormous personal contribution to the development of friendly Russian-Iranian relations, bringing them to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership."
