Details: Speaking to reporters aboard a plane, Donald Trump once again did not rule out a US ground operation on the territory of Iran.

"I don't even want to talk about it now. I don't think it's an appropriate question; you know I'm not going to answer it," he said.

Quote: "Could there be [a ground operation]? Possibly, for very good reason, have to be very good reason. I would say if we ever did that they would be so decimated that they wouldn't be able to fight at the ground level."

Details: He was asked whether the United States is considering a ground intervention to seize stockpiles of enriched uranium accumulated by Iran. Trump said that this might happen "at some point."

In recent days, the US president said he sees no other outcome of the operation than the unconditional capitulation of Iran, and said that the country's navy and air force have been effectively destroyed.
