Russia attacks Ukraine with 666 aerial assets, strikes and debris reported at over 30 locations

Russian forces conducted a combined strike on the night of 24-25 April using 666 missiles and drones, 610 of which were destroyed or jammed by Ukraine's air defences.

Details: The Air Force said the city of Dnipro was the main target, but the Russians also attacked Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa and Kyiv oblasts.

Russia launched 47 missiles and 619 drones:

  • 12 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles
  • 29 Kh-101 cruise missiles (26 destroyed or jammed)
  • 1 Iskander-K cruise missile
  • 5 Kalibr cruise missiles (4 destroyed or jammed)
  • 619 drones (580 destroyed or jammed).

Hits by 13 missiles and 36 UAVs have been recorded at 23 locations and downed aerial assets (debris) fell at 9 locations. Information on the four remaining Russian missiles is being confirmed and no reports of strikes have been received.

As of this morning, the attack is ongoing.

Background: A series of explosions was heard in the city of Dnipro on the night of 24-25 April. Major fires have been reported, residential buildings have been damaged and at least 18 people have been reported injured. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
