Four people have been killed and 37 injured in a Russian combined strike on Poltava Oblast on the night of 4-5 May.

Quote: "The enemy attacked Poltava Oblast with missiles and UAVs overnight. Hits and falling debris were recorded at two locations in the Poltava district. As of now, four people are known to have been killed."

Update: Diakivnych later reported that the death toll had risen to five and the number of people injured in the attack to 37. However, he subsequently stated that an employee of the oil and gas company had died in Kharkiv Oblast.

"As of now, the death toll in Poltava Oblast stands at four," he wrote.

Poltava Oblast has declared 5 and 6 May days of mourning.

Diakivnych said the attack has damaged an industrial facility and railway infrastructure facilities. Moreover, 3,480 consumers were left without gas supply.

The State Emergency Service reported that some people had been killed as a result of a double-tap Russian strike on a gas production facility.

Among the dead are two firefighters and two facility employees. A further eight facility employees and 23 firefighters were injured, with three State Emergency Service employees in a critical condition.

Naftogaz reported that Russian forces had struck some facilities belonging to the company.
