NATO rejects Moscow's accusations of allegedly providing "corridor" for Ukrainian drones

NATO is not a threat to Russia and has not authorised any drones to enter Russia through its airspace.

"If we were allowing drones to go through Baltic airspace in order to get to Russia, we wouldn't be shooting them down," Grynkewich said.
He stressed that "NATO is a defensive alliance".
"We are not a threat to Russia, and they know we are not a threat to Russia. If they thought we were a threat to Russia, they would not have emptied the Leningrad Military District to go and invade Ukraine," the NATO general noted.
"So I just offer that, at face value, it's so obviously incorrect," he added.
Background:
- NATO praised the downing of a drone that violated Estonian airspace on 19 April.
- On Tuesday 19 May, a Romanian fighter jet shot down a stray Ukrainian attack drone in Estonian airspace, prompting an air-raid warning in part of the country. This was the first such drone to be shot down over the country's territory.
- Ukraine's Foreign Ministry apologised to Estonia over the unintentional incidents involving drones.
- At the same time, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said after the incident involving the Ukrainian drone being shot down that Ukraine has every right to attack targets on Russian territory.
