Details: The Varta armoured vehicle was developed and is manufactured by Ukrainian Armor. The platform can be modified for use as a personnel carrier, a command-and-control vehicle, a medical evacuation vehicle or a self-propelled mortar system, depending on military requirements.

The Varta provides protection against 7.62×39 mm small-arms fire from a distance of 10 m and can withstand the detonation of up to 6 kg of TNT equivalent under a wheel or beneath the hull.
The vehicle features a V-shaped armoured capsule, is equipped with Swedish-grade 560 armour steel, and has an engine protected by additional armour plates, providing full protection against 7.62 mm rounds, Ukrainian Armor says. The Varta is also equipped with blast-mitigating seats tested under the STANAG 4569 protocol and certified in accordance with the NATO AEP-55 standard.
Background: The Varta-2 vehicle completed all required trials in May last year, finished the codification process and received approval for delivery to Ukraine's defence forces. In January, the company revealed the cost of the armoured vehicle.
