"Our experts and analysts observed that the enemy facing us is fighting against us on the Huliaipole front, running logistics from there in a constant stream. We therefore decided to strike this bridge, which is the only route for transporting personnel, ammunition and fuel," explained the commander of the 475th Separate Assault Regiment, who goes by the alias Flint.

The strike on Chonhar was carried out in particular to cut off fuel supplies to Russia's 37th Motorised Rifle Brigade, said Perun, the commander of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment.

Based on video and photographs published on Russian social media pages, it is believed that the structural ribs of the bridge were not compromised; however, the drone strikes created holes approximately one metre in diameter in the bridge deck.

"We know from sources that the enemy is very upset, not only because they have no means to transport personnel, but because they currently have no petrol to fuel generators for their drone operators' positions," Perun revealed.

The units confirmed that the strikes were carried out using Behemot and Fire Point drones.

The Behemot UAV was presented at the end of May 2026. Developed by GLEFA and Culver Aerospace, it belongs to the middle-strike drone class and has a strike radius of up to 300 km.

The drone's wingspan reaches 2.28 m, length 2.2 m, and height 0.5 m. The nose section houses a fragmentation-high-explosive warhead weighing 40 kg, followed by a thermobaric warhead weighing 35 kg.

The FP-2 attack drone also belongs to the middle-strike class, with a stated strike range of up to 200 kilometres and a warhead of up to 170 kilograms.

The drone is capable of striking stationary targets in autonomous guidance mode, as well as moving targets, in which case it is operated by an operator via radio channel. The FP-2 can operate both day and night. Its design replicates the long-range FP-1 UAV.
