Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskander-M missile and 88 drones, air defences intercept 79 UAVs

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 88 drones of various types since the evening of 21 June. Air defences have intercepted 79 UAVs, but hits by one missile and five drones have been reported.

Quote: "Early reports indicated that as of 08:30, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 79 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.
Hits by one ballistic missile and five UAVs have been recorded at six locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at nine locations."
Details: From 18:00 on 21 June, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from temporarily occupied Crimea as well as 88 Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs from the Russian cities of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as Hvardiiske in Crimea and temporarily occupied Donetsk.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
