Details: Early reports indicate that a large fire broke out after the attack drone hit the stern of the vessel. The burning bulk carrier was detected using technical surveillance equipment, after which border guard boats were immediately dispatched to the scene.

The State Border Guard Service said the rescue operation was carried out under extremely difficult conditions – at night and amid the constant threat of repeat Russian drone and missile attacks. Despite the danger, the crews of the patrol boats managed to come alongside the vessel and safely evacuate all the sailors.
All 16 crew members – two Syrian nationals and 14 Egyptian nationals – were brought ashore, where they underwent medical examinations. None of the sailors sustained any injuries, the service said.
