Ukraine's foreign minister: Russia seeks to repeat its 2022 outcome by attacking civilian vessels

Acting Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said Russia is trying to repeat the scenario of 2022 by attacking civilian vessels in Ukrainian ports and along the maritime corridor and called for increased pressure on Moscow.

Details: Sybiha recalled that in 2022, when Russia launched its illegal blockade of Ukrainian seaports, the global food price index rose by more than 25% at some points, leading to severe food insecurity for millions of families.

Sybiha believes that "Russia is trying to achieve the same result now by attacking civilian vessels in Ukrainian ports and along Ukraine's sea corridor".

He added that the consequences of Russian attacks for the world could be just as serious as they were in 2022.
