Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham have signed a declaration on an artificial intelligence partnership in Kyiv.

Details: Zelenskyy met Burnham in Kyiv during the UK prime minister's first overseas visit since taking office.

The leaders signed the Joint Declaration of Intent between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Ukraine on a UK-Ukraine Artificial Intelligence Partnership.

The Office of the President said the agreement is an important step in defence cooperation.

Quote from the President's Office: "The two countries will work together to build next-generation armed forces and accelerate the development and deployment of AI-enabled military capabilities, which, among other things, will strengthen Ukraine's battlefield capabilities."
