Moldovan President Sandu calls Russian drones flying over Moldova on Independence Day "intimidation"

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has said Russian UAVs flying through the country's airspace on the night of 26-27 August amounted to "intimidation".

Quote: "Hours before Moldova marks 35 years of independence, our airspace was repeatedly violated by Russian drones. I strongly condemn this intimidation."

Details: As reported earlier, five drones entered Moldovan airspace during a Russian aerial attack on Ukraine on the night of 26-27 August.

Sandu reiterated that Moldova stands "tall, independent and free, firmly on its path to join the EU".
